Thanks to a little girl's hug, Buddie Butterfield embraced something special several years ago
that he is not about to let go. Goodness knows the guy needed that hug. Before he could earn
it, he would have to endure some serious heartbreak and disappointments....
A perfect 74 degree day, partly cloudy with a slight breeze. That was the setting for the final clinic for the season, which traditionally is celebrated by
taking all the participants of Buddie's Buddies on the real course and three Par 3 holes. We all had a wonderful afternoon offering instruction and
assistance when needed. Who's that in the middle picture? "SAY HI TO YOUR DAD MISSIE!"
Fun and
laughter was
enjoyed by all
as our kids and
adults. It was a
"magical day!"
Michael,
Roberta &
Basil all
played well,
Roberta
smiled the
entire time!
FORE!!!!
Joy Butterfield (seated upper left) took
a much deserved break after the event.
Our participants, volunteers and staff
enjoyed pop and doughnuts after the
event. Basil, Gary and Dan (upper right
photograph) croon for the camera.

And finally...
A BIG THANK YOU to all
our volunteers, sponsors, the Overland
Park Golf Club and staff members who
make this event a reality. 2010, Now
we look forward to the Heartland
Regional Amputee Tournament on
October 2nd & 3rd at the OP Golf Club.
